How do I clean corroded Emotiv EPOC electrodes?

After having my Emotiv EPOC stored for a while I tried to use it and did not get any signal from the electrodes (the software showed no connection), and many of the electrode holders had green corrosion. I had stored it according to the instructions … any suggestions on how I could clean the corrosion without damaging anything, and get my headset working?

Here are a few threads I ran across on the Emotiv forum, if you haven’t already seen them:

Get new ones.
Cleaning the electrodes was not efficient with me
@HindBrain to store them my suggestion is to keep the electrodes attached to the headband and only remove the felt pad, because a humid felt-pad will cause corrosion
